The Tor of Hightower was to be simply a way out of the rain for this group of strangers. A storm raged on to the point where it was dangerous to continue on down the trade roads and seeking shelter in this old, worn-out mound sealed the fates of these few odd individuals.
The Elven Archer, Theriel, found his way to this unusual canopy only to discover a small band of others. A halfling monk, Layla. A gruff half-orc Druid and his wolf, Unrock. Finally, a gruff Barbarian named Jack. The four of them had no reason to be friendly to one another, but the weather seemed to ease the small talk.
Several minutes later, a loud crack of thunder shook the ground, and a large stone gave way to a previously hidden passage. The group decided to investigate only to find that it was the entrance into the Tor, a kind of ancient, underground burial chamber, usually topped with a tower to mark the grave.
They made their way in to discover the Tor wasn't so dead afterall. Odd creatures and traps besieged them, and an encounter with some Hobgoblins left questions in their minds.
After plumbing the depths of this chamber, the group made their way out as the storm outside waned. The nearby village of Stump Cross awaited them.
